Hi I’m Jake 👋

Thanks for taking the time to check out my work.

I had a great chat with Kim about the overall approach to this project. We didn’t get into all the details, but it was exciting to hear about something that feels like a perfect intersection of different types of shoots I’ve done—a unique mix that doesn’t always come together in one project.

I’ve worked on fashion campaigns with Vogue and major brands, as well as hospitality projects for companies like Marriott. I also love capturing fashion in a way that feels fresh and accessible. This shoot really feels like a Venn diagram of those worlds overlapping in an interesting way.

I’ve put together a selection of images that highlight those different aspects, and I’m looking forward to chatting more about how we can bring it all together.

Fashion & Lifestyle

Kim and I discussed the fashion element of the project, and it sounds like the creative approach is still open-ended—it could lean high fashion or take a more accessible direction. I’ve worked on projects at both ends of that spectrum, so I pulled together a selection of images that showcase a range of fashion and lifestyle work.

Architecture, Perspective & Views

Kim described a shoot that balances a location renowned for its views of the city—where the architectural perspective plays a key role in the overall feel of the project. That really resonated with me, as I’ve shot a number of images that weave together humans, architecture, and landscape. I’ve curated a selection of those in this first section to highlight how these elements come together in a compelling way.

About Me

I studied journalism at the University of Colorado, and after graduating I moved to New York where I got started working as a photo assistant. Today I shoot for publications like the New York Times and brands like Cadillac, YouTube, Google, and Adidas.

I LIVE WITH MY WIFE AND eight-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER IN Cold Spring, New York. When I'm not hanging with the family I can be found scouring used book shops for the next addition to my photo book collection, or on a surfboard at Rockaway beach.
